JC Hurtado-Prater is a speaker, author, professor and leadership development consultant based in San Diego, California. With over 20 years of experience in the government, non-profit, educational and management consulting sectors, JC is passionate about helping teams and organizations thrive and reach their highest potential.

Work Experience

A veteran of the United States Army, JC earned a BA from UCLA, MBA through Saint Joseph’s College and is currently completing his doctorate in business administration through Indiana Wesleyan University. JC teaches management and leadership courses at Point Loma Nazarene University, Azusa Pacific University and Palomar College where his primary emphasis is helping current and future business leaders understand the larger concepts surrounding change management, communication, team building, coaching and leadership development. JC’s core philosophy is based on the work of Abraham Maslow: “What you can be you must be.” As a leadership development consultant with Zoe Training, JC brings two decades of teaching and leadership experience to each customized training, delivering meaningful content in fun and engaging ways. The guiding purpose for these customized trainings is to help organizational teams unleash their full potential to transform people and communities locally and globally while also being highly effective, impactful and profitable.
